Made by Goto Shoyu, this Kuromitsu sauce is a traditional sweet soy glaze, it's viscous and very sweet. Kuromitsu could be used equally in sweet or savoury dishes. Kuromitsu (literally "black honey") is made from unrefined black sugar, Kokuto, primarily produced in Okinawa.The syrup has a rich, slightly bitter flavour reminiscent of molasses, toffee, and caramel, but with more complexity and a thinner consistency.

Used as topping for ice cream and cakes as well as sweetener for drinks.
