Higashiyama is a bold Japanese green tea from Kakegawa, Shizuoka, known for its depth and structure. Unlike typical green tea, it offers a rich, full-bodied profile with deep umami and a firm pleasant bitterness, creating balance and length on the palate, similar to a well structured light red wine. 

This tea has a floral and sweet smell but a very savoury umami flavour. Notes of grass and a slightly herbaceous flavour.
